I posted this awhile back w/no solution or suggestions so here goes again.

When I launched video capture using the video capture command in the file menu of Vegas everything works fine.

When I launch video capture using the vidcap60.exe in the Sony directory – it will not connect to a device and the advanced application controls are blacked out (do not work).

    Any ideas?

Everything else w/Vegas works fine. Sony Vegas 6.0c

I just tried your way of running Vegas Capture and it worked fine. I’m running version 6.0a. Don’t really know if that will make a difference.
    You might try re-installing Vegas.

Odds are that you’ve somehow set it to use “internal capture” whixh is meant for HDV. To change it back in Vegas, got to Options – Preferences – Video and select “use exteranl capture application”. If it’s not already pointed to C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas 6.0\VidCap60.EXE, browse to this location and select it.
