Unable to import .wav from cd
Hi!
I am unable to import .wav from cd and neither the .wav renders i do are unable to play on another computer or any other device. Something creates a conflict in Vegas. Could it be media player 10?
I installed Vegas on another computer with same xp pro sp2 but without media player and it worked fine.Is there a way to unable this kind of buggy copyright protection?

Are you using File> Extract audio from CD?

WMP10 should not be a factor. However, I’m a little confused by your post:
You can’t import from CD (as you and Gary said, using the import CD option)
But you also can’t create WAV files? Or they’re created but can’t be read? Or they’re created but can’t be read on other machines but can be read on this one? I’ve not had any issues with WAV files & Vegas.

My main problem is that i can create WAV files but they can’t be read on other machines than this one. Sorry for confusion

Vegas creates standard WAV files. I don’t know why the other machines wouldn’t be able to read them. There has to be something to this picture we’re missing.

I found the problem.
I used to set my audio project properties to 24 bit depth for video editing. I just turned it back to 16 and it worked.Thak you for your help and enjoy the evening.
