    In a couple of my menu buttons I play video…How much space does this use on my dvd if i’m selecting the hour avi clip to get the video from. I know it only plays 10 or 15 seconds but can I assume thats all the video it’s putting on the dvd? I use dvda2 Thanks for your help………….Gary

    The menu will be rendered into a short MPEG2 clip whether the thumbnails are still or animated. It’s usually when you have several menus that the space starts to add up. If your main video is an hour long, you should have no problems.

    As Peter said, the menu is rendered to MPEG2 format. Therefore, if the menu is set to loop for 15 seconds, it would be the length of a 15 second MPEG2 file which would be about 15 meg just for the menu background & moving buttons – remember, that would be PER MENU.
