I’m trying to leave the audio track whole without cuts from the S key. I just want to split the video without the audio being split….I try selecting only the video track and it still goes all the way through to the audio track. Also I can hear where each S cut occurs in the audio from being split…When rendered does this noise of the S cut really disappear? Thanks for your help………

Oh ok I remember now….I need to click on Ignore Event Grouping….but what about the question of audio sound being disturbed because of the cuts in the audio track?

Yes, Ignore Event grouping will work. So will UNgrouping. So will locking the audio. So will using a script to do the splitting.

I usually don’t worry about the audio being split as you won’t hear it anyway. I know you do automatically get a small fade out/fade in on the audio when it splits but that can be eliminated by turning off Options – Quickfade Audio Edits. With that off, the splits don’t matter.
