  Audio Recording Error Message

  Hi,

  I’m using Vegas 4.0 for multiracking, with a MOTU 828 and an M Audio Octane.

  In order to record more than 8 tracks at a time, I have to slave the MOTU to the Octane’s word-clock, and use Octane’s additional 8 channels via light pipe.

  The problem is this. Every time I go to record with the MOTU slaved to word-clock, or anything other than “internal clock,” recording immediately stops and I get an error messages along the lines of “Recording failed. Message not found,” forgive me for not having it verbatim.

  I’m positive that my audio interface is configured properly, and everything functions well in Sonar. But i really prefer tracking in Vegas, and I love the surround mixing.

  Can anyone help?

  Error Occurred while recording
  Error 0x8004e0c1 Message Missing
