Hi there guys, I’m a bit of a noob when it comes to video editing etc. so please bear with me. I need to put a 3D CG animation onto DVD so I start by copositing all my clips (.tga sequence files)in ‘Vegas 5’ and then render it as an uncompressed .avi file. I then import that into ‘DVD architect 2’ and burn it to DVD (using the MainConcept mpeg2 plugin)The problem arises when I burn it to DVD, the quality deteriorates quite a bit. Are there any other MPEG-2 plugins available and would they be any better? or am I just missing something?
If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

There is no point in rendering first to another format rather than rendering directly to Mpeg2 in Vegas.

Choose the DVDA video stream template, and for computer animation, I would suggest changing the rendering quality from ‘Good’ to ‘Best’. If it is a short segment, then disc space should be no problem, so set the bit rate to CBR 8,200,000.
