Is there a way, with scripting or otherwise, to automate rendering segments between markers as seperate files. Or maybe render each clip on a timeline as a seperate file?

Yes. I use Excalibur when I want to render regions. It can also create regions around events if they don’t already exist. So, yes, it can be done via scripts. Do some searching and you may even find a free one that will handle your needs. For example, there’s a “BatchRenderGUI” script that will handle regions. I’d be happy to e-mail it to you.

I use them contantly to make myself notes about changes or fixes I have to make throughout the project.
