  render crash when using blur border media efx

  I’ve tried to add a 7 sec jpg with a zoom-in from center and a blurred border on top of a DV-AVI. After 40+min of rendering which only reached frame 122 it crashed. Second attempt got to frame 158 and crashed. After removing the media effect the entire 5 min video rendered in less than 9 min. Any suggestions on whats going on?

  What version Vegas?
  What O/S?
  Size of JPEG?
  “Crash” describes a multitude of conditions – be specific. What crashed? What are the indications of a crash?
  Do you have enough hard-disk space?
