Another Capture Question
A belated thanks to Edward on the VHS capture quesiton.
And yes, “disable DV device control” was the solution.
It is now enabled again as I try to capture from DV tape device.First thing that is unusual is that the window asking to save from beginning of tape,—current position or not at all doesn’t pop up like it used to.
Second thing is after adding a new folder and checking it and hitting apply and OK,—all of the shuttle controls are greyed out.
Can’t seem to figure out what the heck is going on.
There is a DV Tape in my DV device, a camera, and it is on and in VTR mode.
Any help would be much appreciated. -

That should happen each time you change a tape or each time capture loses and regains focus.

Can’t seem to figure out what the heck is going on.”Are you SURE that “Device Control” is turned back on??? Also, a reboot never hurts if you haven’t tried that.

Also check the menu on your camera…make sure DV in is NOT on.

Tried all that stuff.
Finally plugged firewire into different receptical on machine and everything sprang back to life.
May be a card problem.
Am capturing again.
