    Hello,
I am planning to buy a computer system that will run Vegas 6.0, Architectural Desktop 2004, and other high end RAM and processor hungry applications.

My question is what computer systems are you running? What system would you use if you were starting a business?

What other equipment do I need to run a commercial video editing service?

And what other advise do you have for people who want to start a business in the video editing business?

    Please advise.

    Bill –

If you do a search on this forum for “computer systems”, I think you will find a wealth of information. As you can probably guess, there is no one perfect answer. Some folk use laptops, others desktops. Same goes for software, cameras, microphones, editing equipment, etc. Again, if you search this forum, you can get some good hits on what people are using.

    Have fun looking.

    Hi William,

Alienware is good, Dell, Boxx, Sager or you can have one built. See http://www.videoguys.com for their write up.
Remember, correct me if I’m wrong, but Vegas relies on processor speed and not neccessary to have an expensive videocard.
