  • Track Motion – I’m pulling out the last few hairs I have left!

Like I said, I’m going nuts here on this issue.

I have a diamond shaped logo which I want to rotate horizontally slowly about the Y axis. I can do the rotation okay using the Track Motion but its not around the centre of the logo (diamond) but rather rotates with the centre of the rotation at the leftmost side of the diamond and I want to rotate about the centre of the diamond.

I have played with offsets etc but to no avail

I’m obviously doing something darned stupid and the answer is staring me in the face but I can’t see it!

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Jeremy

you should be able to grab the axis of rotation in the resizing box and move it to where you want it to be.

    Hi Mary

Thats the problem. Using Track Motion with 3d Source Alpha doesn’t allow me to move the axis of rotation. Thats my whole problem here

    Thanks

I have no idea what the correct answer is, if there is one.

But rather than pull out those last few precious hairs, I’d just do a work-around. Render out a 30 or 60 second full frame animation (uncompressed if necessary), and use that.
