Include the audio in the clip you’re using.

The video and music MUST be the same length.

You don’t have to, just set end points for clip. However it would be better if they matched before rendering as you will still get whole thing on DVD.

i have managed to add the music. as you said the image stopped but the music continues with a black screen. i can’t fig. out how to edit or shorten the music clip. i think it is time to buy those video tuturials!

Place the music on the VEGAS timeline. Create a selection area for the length of the video on the menu. File – Render AS – make sure you only render the selection area. Now put this SHORTER music file as the menu music. (you may want to fade-out the music on the Vegas timeline before rendering)

The important key is that BOTH the VIDEO and AUDIO are exactly the same length. Otherwise, the longer one will continue playing after the shorter one runs out.

Your BEST bet would probably be to render a DV-AVI file WITH audio to use as your menu background. Then you don’t have to worry about them being different lengths. Plus menus have to be encoded anyway (to add the menu options) so it should give you a higher quality menu.

Yes there are. ALL hotmail accounts are banned. I had too many bad registrations and 99.5% were from hotmail accounts so I got fed up with it and just banned hotmail. Try again using ANY other account.
