OK, maybe I am doing something wrong, but I created a short home video and the opening is a screen in which it says starring w/all the different names of people to appear.

To create this, I simply used the “Credit Roll” in the Media Generators tab. Instead of it scrolling, I simply made it into a timed sequence. The background is black and the font is white. I used the Comic Sans MS font. On my monitor, it looks crisp, but when I played it on my TV after burning a DVD, all the letters were not crisp, some letters appeared like little slices were missing, etc….. it simply looked like crap.

What could have gone wrong? Am I not doing something right?

    Thanks,

    Brett

a very low mpeg2 bitrate can cause this.

average should be around 5 to 6.5 mb/sec with an absolute
    peak of 7.5.

also be sure you are NOT rendering to a DV codec before
the mpeg2 codec. this will always ruin your credits
or anything with a lot of red in it.
