I noticed recently a problem with Vegas… not so much a problem, as an annoyance. Apparently Vegas outputs a much softer audio signal than every other program on my machine. Any of my media players, system sounds, other audio/video apps, it doesn’t matter, when I open up Vegas, I run the slider up on the board and turn down the internal audio controls for every other program I might be running. Then of course I get an email and am almost blown out of my chair by Strong Bad saying, “Oh! Electronic Mail!” Is there a remedy for this?

I’m thinking you must have the master audio track turned down. That’s the only thing that would affect ALL audio output in Vegas.

I guess I should have mentioned that everything is metering right where I want it. It’s just that it’s output is lower than everything else. I have most of my audio “zeroing out” right at -12db, but it’s only a reasonal volume when it’s right at 0db and just starting to peak.
