  Can’t render

  Trying to render an AVI file with no background just the particle.
  Every time I go into render in stand alone or launched via pi it crashes. I get “the program has stopped working”

  Try switching pIRender to use software rendering. Run pIRender, click the Options button, then uncheck the hardware acceleration button.

  If this works, then you should check if there are updated video drivers for your card.

  For what it is worth … I had a similar problem recently. I could not render to any “single image format” (i.e. jpeg, png). This was true even when using the software renderer. I re-installed the latest software patch (#3041) and the problem was resolved. The cause of the issue was unknown, but I chalk it up to Vista.
