Are you using the latest version of the demo (3.0.3)?

If so, try the “run with software rendering” option in the Start – Programs – particleIllusion 3 demo – troubleshooting menu.

If that works, then you have a video driver issue, and need to download the latest drivers from NVidia’s website. If that still doesn’t work, try the “reset default settings” in the same troubleshooting menu.

Yup, running the 3.0.3 demo, downloaded it moments before posting. neither of the software or the reset work, I get the game crash.

Is the account you’re running under an admin account, or limited user account?

Admin, well an Admin. And I have tried running it “as an admin” in the properties of the exe, because I have that barrage of warnings feature turned on.
