    Oli,

there is supposed to be a file “image.raw” in the application folder. I am quite sure it was not in the install, update or full. We will have to hope Alan will bail us out and provide a link.

Here is the link. Unzip into your pI3 folder (where the particleView.exe is).

Depends how you launch particleView. If you browse to the particleIllusion 3 folder and double-click the pView exe there, the image display will work. If you use a desktop shortcut (or Start menu, or Quicklaunch) it won’t.

The reason is we didn’t fill in the “Start in:” property of the shortcuts.

To fix this, r-click on the shortcut (whether it’s on the desktop, in the Start menu, or in the quicklaunch bar) and select “Properties”. Then change the “Start in” box to point to the folder where particleView.exe is located. You can copy and paste this from the “Target:” box above, but you have to remove the “particleView.exe” part.

So on my system, I have:

    Target: “C:\Program Files\particleIllusion_3\particleView.exe”

So I need to make “Start in” look like:

    Start in: “C:\Program Files\particleIllusion_3”

Notice that the quotes are required if the path has any spaces in it. Also, there is no ending slash on the “Start in:” path.

    Alan.
