December 9, 2008 at 8:14 pmThere are lots o threads around the cow covering this. But anyway what I used to do was press the function button + M…but I don´t know if that happens on a mac too.
Another thing you could check is Aaron’s tutorial on how to change AEs shortcuts.

December 10, 2008 at 1:35 amYes. You access the numeric pad by pressing the Fn key and one of the tiny numbers around U,P, M, and so on.

December 10, 2008 at 12:59 pmI ran into the same problem but changed my layout to have the time controls in an easily accessible place. The time controls have a button to ram preview and now I just click on that with the mouse and rule the keyboard out altogether.
I find it much easier and faster now, the only downside is that it takes up room on your screen, if you run dual screens then you should be able to fit it in easily without any problems.
