  Jagged text in CS4

  Hi all. Installed CS4 a couple of days ago and I have a huge problem with the text tool.
  Every font looks jagged both in AE and in the rendered file This is a disaster since I do a lot of text work.
  I compared an identical comp in CS3 and a CS4 side by side and in CS3 the text looks fine.
  Any ideas?

  sorry not to offer a direct answer but over on adobe.com in the support forum for AE, there have been a few threads on the same topic. I even started one (a sudden text jagged issue showed up in CS3 for me) but I have not been able to get back to it. My issue seems to be caused by certain effects applied to text layers. If I use the Text Effect on a standard solid, the text remains clear. This was a weird change, inexplicable. I’ve been doing text for a long time in CS3.
