Im trying to make and area emitter but its complicated.

About your problem:
When I’m right, you want to create an effect similar to Elvis Deane’s Video, where he is hit by a laser & then desintegrates (you just want to let it explode 😉 ).

thank you.But my problem is a little different.Im trying to make an emitter of alicia.The Teleporter Girl From Smallville.and i recognize that it is hard to make because it needs an alpha channel thing and the body-covering line thing.Sorry About youtube.Here.

I think you’d do it the following way:
When I’m right, alicia teleports / desintegrates from the outside to the inside. Therefore you need an emitter that starts teleporting / desintegrating the person on the outside, and then travelling to the inside.
=> I might have a solution to this, but I need to know how you want to deal with the problem of the alpha channel… alright? 🙂

ok.i’ll show a way to particles with photoshop.i mean i dont have a green Back ground so i need to fix it with paint.

Oh, you mean that you’re looking for a way to generate a particle effect that looks like the alicia teleporting… hmmm I’d propose you to make use of some of those “colour from image” emitters to create some distortions…
about your emitter type => I’d have two possibilities:
in both types you’d have to roto / paint the masks for the desintegration /teleporting + hiding your disappearing parts frame by frame
1. Use an area emitting super emitters + the mask of your image (use the different masks as an animation file)
2. Use a line – super-emitter (doesn’t need to follow the accurate shape), then modify the point positions throughout the animation…
Might sound a bit complicated…:)
