  Changing the speed of the entire effect?

  I apologize for asking such a newbie question, but I have gone through a few tutorials and cannot find an answer. I would like a way to slow down the entire effect. I thought the velocity parameter would do this, but it does not. I am rendering it and bringing it into Premiere and slowing it down on the timeline as a workaround.

  Sometimes an effect will have several components. For instance some of the snow effects I am currently working on have very small, small, medium, and large flakes, each with it’s own velocity control. So in some cases you have to adjust things in multiple layers. Also, depending on the effect, what you might be terming the “speed” might have more to do with particle numbers, or birth rate, velocity over life, or velocity variation. Make sure to check out all that stuff.
