  Newb to particleillusion

  Hello, I’m new to the wonderful world of particleillusion. I can’t do much right now, but this is one heck of a good program so I think I’m learning pretty fast.
  Can someone tell me how to save a finished project to a file readable by common media players?

  Hit the red Record button that’s in the Play controls, that’ll bring up an interface to save the file as an AVI or Quicktime.

  Have a look at the Quickstart, which is the fastest way to get all the basics of the interface.
