Im trying to achieve the effect of bullets hitting the ground. You know like when a helicopter flies over and its machine guns are shooting at the ground and you see the dust thrown straight up. Anyone know how I can do that?
Im also trying to achieve the same effect on a larger scale, to give the impression of a huge projectile smashing into the desert.

There are two that do exactly this sort of thing in one of the Eclectic pro-emitter libraries, but if you don’t have those you can probably use Boom 5 from the June 2003 library for the larger impact, and with a little editing it can probably do bullet hits as well.

There’s also a few Rain Splash emitters in the May 2005 library that would probably work quite well if you convert them to a point emitter and animate their position. It might not be as dramatic an effect as you’re looking for though.
