  DV Avi as background

  “Problem Initalizing avi!” That message is the thorn in my side. Can anyone clearly explain to me what I’m doing wrong with my background image. I am using a DV file as a background and I know PI isn’t capable of handling DV yet but I know some of you out there have figured it out. I’m really just learning this system and the only way I have figured out how to use the file is by changing it to an BMP sequence. Is it possible to use the original video? I have downloaded numerous codecs. But maybe I’m not installing them the right way. I don’t know!!! Need answers….

  The “Panasonic DV codec” is the one that everyone has had success with after installing. Once you install it, you should be able to bring in DV avis with no problems.

  You must download the Elisoft codec Pack ,it work
