    Hi guys!

I’m making a music video where a guy is dancing. A girl comes over and starts to touch him over his chest.
After a bit of touching they walk away together.

I want to make his whole body set on fire when the girl touches him.

I’ve searched in my emitters and yet not found the perfect one for this. I want his body covered with flames, preferably not just a 2D coat but so you can see the shape of his body.

I’ve imported the clip as an TIFF animation and I’m about to start capturing the motion of his body.

Does anyone have any ideas how I should proceed? I watched the 3.0 sneek peak on wondertouch’s homepage where a guy makes a jump kick in flames and smoke. It’s that kind of an effect I’m after.

    Thanks

    Petri

To do that, you’ll need to have footage with an exact matching Alpha Channel (or if the guy already has an alpha channel that matches his shape, that’s perfect). What you do is use that footage as an area emitter mask – which uses the alpha channel of the footage to generate the particles.

You can find the info you need for this in the pIllusion help files under Tutorial 4 – Area Emitter Mask
