Shooting with a Panasonic AG-HVX200 DVC PRO for TV show
I am a full time radio guy, we do a live studio shot on our NBC affiliate every morning. We are now looking into doing a 1 hour TV show that is shot locally at events in the community and giving our sponsors 4 minute “infomercials” inside the show. The broadcast TV station is asking for the show to be delivered on DVC Pro in HD if that makes sense. I’ve pretty much figured out that the camera mentioned above is what I need.
Outside of that … what computer/editing software is best (and easiest to learn) for this application? And what is the simplest (and least expensive) software for Close Captioning the show? Don’t have a huge budget, but have some dollars and about 6 months to get ready.
One last question… the final product, I assume a workflow is Camera, to PC or MAC for editing, and then what? Do I need to buy an expensive deck to record the final product to tape for delivery?
AMATEUR here when it comes to shooting/editing in DVCPRO HD. Please help – preferably someone with experience shooting for broadcast TV.
Thanks!
