hi, I hope someone can help me with a problem im trying to work out.

I use a canon xh a1. I need to transmit a live signal of a downhill cycling event from part of the way up the track down to the finish area and into a normal TV – hopefully of a max distance of about 500m and a min of 100m. I have never used my camera for this sort of application.

what is the cheapest way to achive this?

Im thinking I can use the BNC connector on the camera connected to coaxial cable(rg59)and straight into the TV.

If this is possible is there limits to the length of cable that can be used or do amplifiers have to be used?

any other possibilities or ideas would be greatly appeciated
