    Hi guys,

First post and my first project, I’m trying to create a text effect similar to the age old animation at the start of this thriller video.

I know this is probably the easiest animation technique but i am trying to figure out away to do this in a modern way.

I do need total control over the individual frames, I’ve also guessed a technique similar to framing lightsabers for example but for all the small animation movements I’m unsure of a way to save time and animate all the areas at once. I know interpolation could be helpful.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

Without some more information on what exactly you’re trying to do, I have no idea what you’re trying to do 😉

Either link to an example or describe it in greater detail!

    Hi

OK, sorry for that. Here is the video on You-tube. Its low quality though and the it is hard to make out any detail but let me describe it.

The thriller title appears and with in it the highlights and lowlights along with the Characters starts to variate slightly almost look alive ,moving around almost like parasites underneath a microscope.

There are several ways to try and accomplish this. One possible technique is covered on videocopilot.net:

You will probably want to use some animated Fractal Noise for the displacement as opposed to the ‘bugs’ that Andrew uses in that tutorial.
