  • Render Elements – VrayLight – How to composite ?

Posted by Bernhard Rieder on November 15, 2008 at 5:14 pm

    Hello,

I would like to figure out, how I can composite and break down the render element called VrayLight in After Effects ?

Some threads explained that I should get the VrayLight Element, if I use the following idea:

    RawLight x Diffuse + RawGI x Diffuse = VrayLight

Unfortunately, I am not sure if this is correct and how I could get it done in AE.

Here is a snapshot I do have so far:

Here is my Max9 Scene file:

and here are all the render elements saved as .tif files and compressed to a zip file:

the original RGB render is also included…

well, I really would like to know how I can just break down the VrayLight Element first.

thx a lot for every little help,
    bernhard

It’s great that you’ve put up the files. Unfortunately, my machine is tied up right now. What I’ve done previously with 3D multi-layered renders is to use AE’s Blending Modes. Give those a shot.
