  How to best record 16:9 on BETA sp

  I have a Sony UVW-1800 BETA SP deck. I need to output component 16:9 from a Panasonic AG-MX70 switcher and record on the beta deck. Will this work? If so, will it be letterbox, center crop, anamorphic?

  Any ideas or relatively inexpensive aspect ratio converters are appreciated.

  well the answer is simple

  make all your source’s to the MX70 anamorphic
  the deck will record in anamorphic
  no ARC’s are needed.
