I have some test shots I have uploaded to a portable drive.
    Question:
Each Sony SxS Pro 16 card contains a folder with the following:
.MP4 clip, .smi clip, .PPN clip, xml clip and BIM clip

    Must I save them all?
I just want to review in the field using basic software like quicktime reader and or Imovie or Final Cut express.

Just need to review the clip and need to make sure all parts are there for post.

I cannot though, read any of them.

    I am on Mac OS 10 platform ( 10.4.11)
    Quicktime is 7.5.7
    Final Cut Express 2.0

Any thoughts on why I cannot read any one of the above files?

    many thanks
    This is relatively urgent….

You need the XDVCAM Clip Browser. https://www.sony.ca/xdcamex/support.htm

And yes you need to save the whole BPAV folder to a new folder with a name of you choice.

    Thank you for your note.
I have done all this but still cannot review clips…
Must I have Final Cut Pro 6 installed as well?
    I am running on 10.4.11 on a 17″ powerbook.

    Please advice –

    Thank you in advance!
