  getting HD footage to TV station

  What’s the best way to get a 2 minute HD news package to a TV station? We use FCP to edit. What’s the best output to use?

  With SD I would just run a beta tape to the station. Now, I’m lost on how to get the footage to them.

  Anyone use Pathfire?

  What format did the station(s) request?

  Matt is correct. Your question is rediculous. If you deliver a Beta tape to a station, and the entire station uses DVCPro, they won’t accept your tape. Different stations have different delivery requirements. For HD, it can be SRW Sony, Sony HDCam, Sony XDCamHD, Sony HDV, Panasonic DVCProHD, Panasonic P2, Panasonic AVCIntra, and potentially SO MANY OTHERS. In addition, some may want 720p, or 1080i. So, since Panasonic is native 720p, but can be 1080i, the station may want DVCProHD at 1080i. Do you know who knows the answer to this question – THE STATION YOU ARE DELIVERING TO.
