  • Getting camera bounce between keyframes

Posted by Jon Hutton on November 8, 2008 at 7:43 pm

Hi there, I have had this problem before, I have a graph that grows bigger, anyways I start from a top view, swing down to the side and then follow its growth until the top of the graph. After my camera moves from the top view to the side view before it starts its movement back up to the top view it does a dip down along the Y-axis, does this have anything to do with easing my movements? Any help would be appreciated, hope I explained it well enough.

As well my temporal interpolation is set to linear for my keyframes, I cannot change my spatial interpolation as it is greyed out.

you need to use the “toggle keyframe hold” i think its called. This stops the animation from wandering between identical keyframes.
Aharon Rabinowitz explains it really well in one of his tutorials ( i think he refers to it as the boomerang effect).
