    hi there

Basically I have an animation of a bird flying along, the bird is black and the rest is transparent. However when I go to make movie and choose Alpha Only, when I import the video in it has been inverted, the bird is now white and the transparent area black…? I just want the bird with no background at all…there must be a way?

    cheers!

By rendering Alpha Only you are getting just that – an alpha channel with no fill (ie. the bird). In the Render Queue window look in the Video Output section and you’ll see a popup menu for “Channels” choose RGB + Alpha and that will do the trick!
