  Sorenson Squeeze – Extra Frame

  Hi,

  I’m quite familiar with various compression techniques and software. However, Squeeze is driving me nuts – it appears to be adding an extra frame to videos I encode to H.264 .mov format.

  Has anyone experienced this before? It’s only a single frame. I’ve looked at Sorenson’s site – they say the encoding process cannot add frames. Did I hit something? Or is there an issue with the source file? The single frame is crucial b/c I’m encoding for animation.

  Also, any suggestions on how to maintain the source color, contrast, and gamma for H.264 without messing with filters?

  Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

  I’ve had this issue as well (except with MPEG-2 encodes), and unfortunately to do not know a solution.
