  MPEG-2 to DG Fastchannel

  Wanting to use DG Fastchannel’s dropbox for delivery of our spots instead of sending a digibeta out everytime. Here’s the spec sheet they sent me – Does anyone know which programs can achieve this (preferably something cheaper than squeeze or Episode)?

  Telestream Episode and I have a preset as well specifically for DG which I’ve been using to deliver spots for years. If you’re delivering spots you should be able to afford Episode. There are very few encoders that will insert the proper Vertical Blanking interval to get a 720×480 or 720×486 to 720×512. If you’re getting a 15% agency rate for doing the media buy all it takes is about a $3000 buy to pay for Episode.

  Okay, thanks for that! Would it be necessary to buy Episode Encoder Pro? Or could I get by with just Episode Encoder?

  Standard is fine for DG setting.
