    Hi all,

Just having some issues when down converting 1080i50 HDV footage to SD Mpeg2 for DVD.

I am exporting a QT self contained movie then bringing into Compressor 4. I am De-interlacing (I know I don’t need to but like how it looks), frame controls are on, everything set to best except for de-interlace which is set to progressive, better.

The image quality is great when done, but I am getting these annoying horizontal lines on fade ins/outs and also on some background blue sky.

Some clips have Neat video’s noise filter on them.

This problem does not happen when exporting using Compressor’s DVD best 90min pr-set.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Phil

Phil, did you ever work your issue out? I am troubleshooting something similar right now…

    Thanks,
    David
