    hey

ok here we go, I’ve got this skate footage and i want it to create lines behind the wheels as if the wheels them self are painting the ground at the point of contact, what’s the best way to do this / fastest way to do this

    PLEASE HELP.

Create the lines using paths and the stroke filter on a solid…set the stroke filter to display on transparent…and set the filter to use all masks.

Next, create a new solid and set it’s visibility to off… Create a mask that follows the wheel….it will have to animate.

Now on the stroke layer, set the track matte to use the new solid layer.

    hope this helps

the simplest way would be to track the wheels.

then create a solid layer and apply a stroke to it or use a custom shape,
then copy your track points to the end of the stroke, and it should follow the wheels nicely !!!
