Anyone have a solid method for encoding progressive HD (DVCpro HD 29.97) to interlaced SD for broadcast delivery?

I’m using DGfastchannel and their spec’s require 480 60i (upper field first) which is causing some serious tearing.

I’m using compressor to encode and viewing the .mpeg with VLC.

    “480 60i (upper field first)”

    That maybe not quite right:

as long as there’s no issues with delivering a progressive version I’m happy. DG has accepted my compressor encodes even though it’s not 4:2:2 chroma.
