How can I preserve transparency in a video that I export from After Effects? I am creating a set of prekeyed stuff, and I need to know how to keep the transparency in the finished video file. I want this for when you drag the video into after effects, you don’t have to key it out yourself.
    Thanks in advance

Render the video with the mask at 50% opacity and with you be your alpha

i’m not using a mask, though.
I am using the color range key option.

you need to export using a format that supports alpha channels.
Try exporting with the animation codec, colors set to millions+
(the + is the alpha channel)
