    Hi, guys!

I have a client that needs me to deliver MPEG-2 program streams for use in a Grass Valley Turbo system.

Everything is dialed in except for one major problem: I’m coming from DV (lower field dominant) and going to their upper field dominant specs.

Can anybody suggest a workflow that will not give me jittery-frame playback issues? How can I switch the field dominance correctly?

Currently, I come out of Final Cut Pro 6.04 and use Compressor to encode the MPEG-2 file. I am using Compressor to set the field dominance to upper, setting it in the inspector at the encoder menu>video format>field dominance>upper.

    Thanks!

    Bill

Have you tried switching it in the FCP browser?
