  Sorenson resizes avi issue

  using: Windows xp pro sp 2 dual xeon 4 gigs of ram
  flash 8 sorenson squeeze 4.2

  Hi I just watched Internet Killed the Video Star. So now I’m pretty jacked up on compression 🙂

  I tried compressing an avi with using Sorenson. I converted it to a flv with the VP6_Lg_prog preset. I tweaked the settings – increased the data rate and decreased key every frame. checked compressed alpha since I’ll be compositing this movie in Flash with other elements. I set the frame size to the original size of the avi.

  1. I import the flv file into flash as an embedded swf.
  2. I Test Movie and it looks great, although strangely larger its original dimensions.
  3. When I open the swf directly from windows explorer, the
  swf shows smaller than it’s original dimensions and has the tell-tale distorted look of a movie file that has been resized in Flash.

  Any help is appreciated
