  quicktime to idvd

  Hi Guys,
  I would be greatful if you could help me out:
  Because of the chapter issue with imovie7 i have to export my movie to Metadata Hootenanny to insert chapters, (no problem) but What i would like to know is what are the best settings in quicktime for exporting data which lasts 1hour and 27 minutes, quality is very important as its a friends wedding dvd.

  What was it shot on? DV?

  If so, export it as that, if not, export it at whatever the source is/was, no point in adding an additional transcode step.

  DV quality is fine, however, the size is 17GB, is there any way of compressing it down in quicktime but still retaining the high quality?

  You could try the MotionJPEG B codec. If your source is progressive use the PhotoJPEG codec.
