Activity Forums Compression Techniques After encoding, first frame has turned green

I used Compressor with this method at Ken Stone’s site to encode a video for YouTube: https://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/youtube_compressor_gary.html

For some reason, in the resulting quicktime, the first frame, where it’s supposed to be solid black, is a sickly green. I’ve double checked that I was following all the settings in the tutorial, and I’ve I’ve examined my original video… the first few frames are definitely supposed to be solid black (it’s 2 seconds of black slug directly from FCP).

Any ideas on what might be causing this, and how to get rid of it?

Do you get the same result when encoding to a different CODEC?
