large scale compression
Hi,
I have a thirty minute SD NTSC video that I need to compress for the web and ipod/iphone. It needs to be as close to under 100mb as possible. The goal is to have it small enough to be easily downloaded and viewed anywhere.I’ve done an ISMA mp4 version of the video (320×240 24fps AAC stereo audio) and it’s alright but the quality isn’t so hot.
(I used quicktime player to compress from a DV avi premiere export)
Is some secret to compression that I don’t know? I’ve seen a few videos with great quality and small size but all of mine seem to look kinda crappy when compressed. Is it that the video is just too long to be compressed to such a small size to retain any good quality?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
