  Encoding PAL for DVD using Apple Compressor

  Hello

  I am looking to get some advice on encoding footage from a PAL BETACAM SP tape (from an Avid Adrenaline) – ultimately to then encode using Compressor for DVD (both NTSC & PAL format)

  I need to compress for DVD in PAL & NTSC and again the footage is from a 90 minute BETACAM SP tape onto the Avid Adrenaline. I have only ever done NTSC so this fottage with be in PAL when i bring it into Compressor.

  The Senior editor has a pretty busy schedule during the day but is ok with me doing this personal project after hours – I just want to make sure i set it all up properly.

  I have never done anything PAL or BETASP on this deck and Avid Adrenaline so I am hoping you guys can tell me everything I need to know about setting up Compressor to encode both a PAL and NTSC set of MPEG2 & AAC.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
