Any thoughts / experience on this?

The display to be on big a plasma screen – I don’t have a spec on that yet, and obviously need it.

Playback is likely to be from a laptop so I guess there’s a wide choice of formats.

If the plasma supports HD, is it worth using an HD format (material will be largely animated graphics and still photos I think)? Or does the relatively large distance people will typically be viewing from mean that upscaled DVD-quality would look as good ..?

If HD, any thoughts on 1080p vs 720p, choice between QT and wmv – or other formats ..?

If it’s a Mac laptop I would go with progressive 30p H.264. You also don’t specify how you will edit the material…is it on a Mac or a PC? More info on your workflow might help us make a stronger suggestion.
