  Apple Compressor “Background Process”

  I import a QT into Apple Compressor, choose Settings and Destinations and when I hit Submit, the following warning shows up “Unable to connect to background process” and it won’t let me go any further.
  What does that mean?

  Hi,

  I will reply because I just had this problem. There is some info on Apple Support page but it did not help in my case. I had to manually remove everything from my computer that said “compressor” or “Qmaster” using spotlight.
  Then I reinstalled Compressor with Qmaster and it works fine now. Good luck.
