  Creating Stadium Crowd with Flip Cards

  I’m trying to recreate the look of a stadium crowd that holds up flip cards to create a picture or word (think china olympics) only I don’t have the China Olympics budget…. This can be a down and dirty version as it doesn’t have to hold to broadcast standards. Has anybody done anything like this or have any ideas?

  and its big brother, Card Dance, gives you a 3D setting that is controllable by using grayscale images or movies.

  These are absurdly sophisticated effects created by Brian Maffit.
