  How can I make parts of the texture glow

  I am trying to make this logo where I have used a texture and the lava cracks need to glow or emit light, which I will randomly vary later on. But can’t figure out how to do it.

  Even though you can get something by playing with the luminance and illumination, you will have something better with a compositor like After Effects, Nuke, Fusion or so.
